Worry-free, possibly once-in-a-lifetime experience.
This was my second time using Unique Romance & Adventure Travel, but my first time doing a destination honeymoon. We are so glad we paid the small fee to have such a worry-free, possibly once in a lifetime experience. We started our 2-week honeymoon in Dublin, Ireland, and for several days we walked around the town taking in all the vibrant life it had to offer, then we got our car and worked our way down to Dingle, Ireland for two days, and then up to Belfast for two days. After our "cold" leg of the honeymoon, we caught a quick flight to Portugal and stayed a week in Vila Real de Santo Antonio, in the Algarve region. Carla did such an AMAZING job finding us lodging, activities, and excursions that fit our personalities perfectly!! My wife and I cannot even come close to describing how amazing Dublin and Dingle were. Two very opposite places, both must visit spots! We didn't love Belfast, but so glad we got to experience the Titanic Museum and see a little part of the city, so no complaints. We loved the 3 hotels she picked for us, Buswells Hotel in Dublin, Skellig Hotel in Dingle (was our absolute favorite getaway in Ireland!!!), and The Malone Hotel in Belfast. All wonderful staff and very lovely rooms. While in Ireland, we got to see St. Patrick's Cathedral (what an emotional experience!), the Cliffs of Moher (Cliffs of Insanity-Princess Bride), we saw 3 amazing Castles, including me getting to kiss the Blarney Stone, or Stone of Eloquence, we dined at the oldest pub in Ireland, the Brazen Head, and toured the Guinness Storehouse (visiting Guinness is a MUST!!!). We drank plenty of Jameson Gingers and Guinness on our trip while touring small pubs in Dublin and Dingle. We cannot wait to go back! We wanted some heat on our honeymoon, so Portugal was our next destination. Words cannot explain how it blew all of my expectations out of the water! I will not be able to say enough good things about our hotel experience. We stayed at the Pousada Vila Real de Santo Antonio, and from the moment we walked in late that evening, our concierge, Mariana, was like a personal tour guide and probably one of the two most friendly people I've ever met, the second most friendly person, was her counterpart, the breakfast host!!! I believe his name is Attilah, and he acted like all of his guests have known him all their lives and befriended guests with his humor and charm. And their staff!!! They took such good care of us. They brought us dessert and fruit treats with some champagne "for love"!!! And went above and beyond when turning over our room. We stayed fairly local this part of our trip, because it was resting and relaxing in the sun time. The farthest we made it was over to Lagos for the day, and we are so glad we did that! We took a boat tour along the grottos, or caves along the coast with BlueFleet Ponta da Pledade, we dined at Atasca-te - Tasca Tradicional, and 10 out of 10 recommend both of those! We booked an intimate sunset tour with Capt. Max and Nautitours, back closer to our hotel, and had such a lovely and amazing time!!! The rest of the time in Portugal was relaxing on the beach or visiting the MANY restaurants in the square that we stayed. Thank you so much Carla and Lencie for all that you did to make our 2026 honeymoon a memory-filled, life-changing, unforgettable adventure!!!!
