I first want to start this review by saying… WOW. If you’re thinking about hiring Unique Romance & Adventure Travel & Cami, then just DO IT. We could NOT have done this without her. It felt so overwhelming choosing the right resort without her—I didn’t even know where to start until she came into the picture.

The communication with the resort, transportation setup, etc.—every detail she handled with extreme professionalism and efficiency. She truly went above and beyond, and then some. Every single one of our guests RAVED about her.

Resort Reviews

Hyatt Ziva Cancun:

Amazing family resort, and there truly is something for everyone. The food is amazing, and there are plenty of restaurants. The grounds are stunning, and the beach was phenomenal.

I would go without kids because children don’t bother me, and there is plenty of space for everyone. The rooms are average, but who cares—you’re hardly in them. They’re clean, and the service is amazing. Service is unmatched at the Hyatt properties.

The wedding planning was great, and you can tell they have the system down to a tee, but I will say it still would have been challenging without Cami. This resort is more lively, but not necessarily a “party” resort. The spring breakers showed up toward the end of our stay, and I was happy we were leaving, but it still wasn’t a “spring break resort.”

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya:

BEAUTIFUL adults-only resort. You’re basically in the jungle. The rooms are spread out among separate buildings, which makes it feel more private and romantic. The rooms are gorgeous, and the service was even a step above Ziva—which I didn’t think was possible. They are both Hyatt resorts.

If you are looking for a more lively, nightlife-focused resort, this is NOT your place. It is definitely more catered to relaxation and an older crowd, but still a blast. We played volleyball, did workout classes, and participated in other games, etc.

The breakfast buffet was like Hyatt Ziva on steroids. The other restaurants didn’t exceed Hyatt Ziva by any means, in my opinion. If anything, they were just as good, if not slightly better in some cases.

The beach also had A TON of seaweed, which I heard isn’t common, but I thought I’d mention it. We did the swim-up suite, but I don’t think it was worth it—we didn’t use it. That’s just personal preference, though, I’m sure.

They did rope us into a Hyatt membership presentation, so just be aware of that. They offer you $200 in resort cash, but it’s a bit sneaky.

Our time was amazing!!!!! AND UNIQUE ROMANCE & ADVENTURE TRAVEL WITH CAMI IS THE BOMB.
